Edie heads North in March – Talks at Darlington (14th), Durham (15th)

We are heading Up North this coming week.  First to give our presentation on Monday 14 March to the Darlington Lecture Association (this is a private members meeting) and then the next day – Tuesday 15 March – we shall be in the Council Chamber at County Hall in Durham.  That’s at 7pm and it’s free. All welcome.  Full details here and here.

Both these talks will have a special feature: Edie’s colleague and closest friend in France, Sister Kate Maxey. She came from Spennymoor and some of her great nieces will be at the Durham talk. Can’t wait to meet them again!  You can see more about Kate Maxey here.

The talk is fully illustrated.  Dick Robinson (Edie’s great nephew) tells Edie’s story and his wife, Lisa, reads extracts from the diaries.  Do come and join us in Durham.
