John Banham has revised and updated his commentary on Edie’s closest friend and colleague, Sister Kate Maxey, as a result of further discussions with Kate’s great niece, Maureen Defty. This will be added to the Durham at War site as a replacement for the previous version but I have already added it to Edie’s website; it’s linked from this page.
Interestingly, the changes arose from Professor Christine Hallett’s recent visit to Durham. Christine is writing a book: The Nurses of Passchendaele.
